Hey Ya’ll,
I thought it might be interesting to put together a list of items in the Gilley’s Museum collection that are personally autographed by either Mickey Gilley, Johnny Lee, or both. I may have missed a few items since the collection is so large, but here are some examples (with pictures) for your appreciation.
#1 Gilley’s gray Confederate Army style cap with Mickey’s picture around the body of the cap. It has Mickey Gilley’s signature on the brim.
#2 A letter dated August 17, 1982 from Mickey to the President of the Country Music Wax Museum in Nashville that accompanied his donation of a performance outfit to the museum. It is on Gilley’s Enterprises, Inc. letterhead and hand signed by Mickey Gilley. We obtained the framed letter and outfit after the museum closed.
#3 A red and white 1982 Second Annual 4th of July Picnic cap autographed on the brim by both Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee.
#4 An 8 X 10 official Gilley’s photo of Johnny Lee taken in 1982 and autographed by Johnny Lee.
#5 A red Gilley’s Winston soft cap autographed on the brim by both Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee.
#6 Here’s an 8 X 10 press photo of Mickey autographed by Mickey Gilley originally given to a DJ at KRLC radio in 1981.
#7 This rare vintage original 1978 Limited Edition Gilley’s Pasadena, TX buckle is autographed by Mickey Gilley and, as you can see, is in very good condition.
- Mickey Gilley autographed 1978 LE Gilley’s buckle.
The back side of this buckle says ALL RIGHTS RESERVED then GILLEY’S CLUB then PASADENA, TEXAS in the large box and LIMITED EDITION 1978 in the smaller box below it.
#8 This cool and rare Johnny Lee’s Lookin’ for Love tank top/camisole is signed Love, Johnny Lee on the upper back. The shirt is baby blue in color and in excellent condition. Sorry about the muddy look in the picture. Bubba’s not a photographer. LOL
Since the original 8 autographed items above, we’ve accumulated more items and will add them below as time permits.
Acquired in September of 2013 is this cool red Mickey Gilley LIVE baseball cap with Mickey’s autograph on the bill. The white Mickey Gilley “signature” on top is a thick rubber-like material and the “LIVE” is in glitter. Check it out below.
Here is a close up of Mickey Gilley’s autograph.
Here’s a new addition as of January, 2014. It’s a Mickey Gilley BIO Booklet autographed on the cover by both Mickey and Johnny Lee. I believe the booklet was put out as part of the Mickey Gilley Fanclub in the late 1970’s. It contains about 20 pages mostly filled with captioned pictures of Mickey and many people in his life. The booklet measure 8 1/2″ by 11″. Here is a picture of the cover.
Added in May of 2014 is this very hard to find Collectors Series Mickey Gilley “The Early Years” album, made even more collectible when it was autographed by Mickey in 1991.
Added in November of 2104 is a Johnny Lee red print on a white bandana, autographed in the upper left corner by Johnny Lee in 1982. It appears to be a cotton blend fabric and measures approximately 22″ square. Here is a picture of the entire bandana.
Here is a close up of the autograph near the upper left corner of the bandana.
So there you have it. Just part of our autographed Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee memorabilia collection. Talk to you soon.

I find myself coming back to your web-site only because you have lots of awesome insights and also you happen to be at this a while, which is very impressive and tells me you know your stuff.
Thanks for the nice comment, I appreciate that a lot.

I have a 1$ bill with a Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee autograph from a concert in Midland Michigan from the early 80’s. Also close up photos taken in the autograph line.
I have an original Johnny Lee acoustic guitar signed and dated by Johnny lee, guitar is in it’s original case, dated 2-18-10, much is it worth today?
Hi Debra,
The vast majority of the value is the guitar and since I’m not familiar with it I couldn’t even venture a guess.
