RIP Mickey Gilley March 9, 1936 to May 7, 2022
Today we lost a legend.
I am so very sad to report the unexpected death of Mickey Gilley, a gentle, gracious, and enormously talented artist who made life on this planet better for all of us.
No cause of death has been given as of 2:30 PM Pacific time. He reportedly died peacefully, surrounded by his family, as posted by the Mayor of Pasadena, Texas today.
Having spent several hours with Mickey and his manager at my house I can comfortably say that he was humble, down to earth, friendly, funny, and just an all-around decent human being.
I miss him already.
We can only send our love and best wishes to his family and friends.
Rest In Peace, Mickey.
