Second Mickey Gilley Autographed Gilley’s Mud Flap Acquired 3-6-13

Hey Ya’ll,

Finally, the 2 Gilley’s truck mud flaps autographed by Mickey Gilley during the taping of the 2011 American Pickers episode where Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz went to Mickey’s warehouse in Texas are back together again. Here is a short clip of Mike, Frank and Mickey with the mud flaps.

When we purchased the first Gilley’s mud flap in July of 2012 we were told by the seller that he had given the second one to his son who intended to keep it, so we asked that he let us know if he ever decided to let it go. That opportunity came along last week. We made a deal and the 2d mud flap arrived here today.

The second mud flap is identical to the first, except for the slight difference in size and angle of Mickey Gilley’s autograph. Here is a close up of that signature.

You can see the full front and back pictures of the other mud flap here. No need to duplicate them since the 2 mud flaps are a matching set.

Since we keep getting posts asking to purchase one or both of these mud flaps, let me make our answer perfectly clear. NEITHER OF THE MICKEY GILLEY AUTOGRAPHED GILLEY’S MUD FLAPS FROM THE AMERICAN PICKERS SHOW ARE FOR SALE.  Sorry.

We are very happy to be able to complete the set and have both Gilley’s mud flaps in our collection.
