1981 Gilley’s 4th of July Picnic poster.

This is an extremely rare (1-of-a-kind?) original poster, in its original frame, promoting the 1981 Gilley’s 4th of July concert and picnic. The poster itself measures 13 1/2 x 21 1/2 inches and, as you can see, shows obvious signs of age. It features the names of many of the performers scheduled to appear, and of course proudly hangs in the Gilley’s Museum.
In the bottom left corner is a Gilley’s 1982 calendar opened to the July page where the Second Annual picnic is the featured event for the month.

Were you there? How was the concert? Have you seen this poster before? We’d love to hear your thoughts and reactions.

(3-30-11 update) This poster was incorrectly identified as being from the 1982 picnic in my original post and has been corrected as of today. Sorry for the error.

We have a poster of this with the burnt edges from the actual building that burnt down.
I’d love to see a picture. Please email me at GilleysMuseum@gmail.com. Thanks. Bubba
