Who Is Bubba?

Besides being a huge “Urban Cowboy” and Gilley’s fan and memorabilia collector, Bubba is also an avid and advanced country dancer/teacher and lover of country music. Living in Las Vegas you will usually find me dancing at one of the not-so-country local “country” bars.

With a long background in law and entertainment Bubba knows his way around the business better than many people who call themselves experts. The new Gilley’s at Treasure Island is sickeningly obvious proof of that. After waiting for several years for the new Gilley’s to open Las Vegas is STILL in desperate need of a REAL country bar, where country people can hang out, have something to drink, dance and enjoy COUNTRY music, not the heavy mix of hip hop, etc. played at the clubs we have here now. If you’re a serious investor/operator and want to work with us to design, decorate and manage a real country bar and attraction worthy of Las Vegas, please take a look at UrbanCowboyExperience.com.

And in case you haven’t seen it, Bubba, along with a number pieces of memorabilia from the GilleysMuseum.com collection, is a featured expert in CMT’s “Urban Cowboy: The Rise and Fall of Gilley’s” documentary. Here’s a screen shot from the film.

Let us know if you ever come to Vegas and want to know where to go dancing or want to talk about the collection. Bubba has been in and around country bars for years, talking to customers about what they like and don’t like about the clubs, and has a list of design errors that are commonly made so you won’t have to repeat them. Talk to us FIRST! A well designed club is a more successful club.

I recently bought a belt buckle and poster from Bubba and wanted to share how happy I am with the items. I wore my belt buckle out on the town as soon as it came in. Since we live near Pasadena it was the subject of many conversations that night and everyone that noticed it wanted to know where to get one. I cant thank Bubba enough for helping me out and for simply being as big of a fan as we are. If you are thinking of getting something from Bubba, don’t hesitate. He is great to deal with and his items are exactly as described. Thanks again Bubba!

    • Hi Mark,

Great to hear you got them so fast and that you love them as much as we do. That’s exactly why GilleysMuseum.com was created.
We want to share our love of Gilley’s memorabilia with the world. I appreciate the nice words.

      Thanks and enjoy!

      Bubba

I have two more original posters. I do not want to sell, but thought you would be interested in seeing what they look like.
